My House in Nio
MK477
About This Work
A house on Ios — cobalt shutters, sun-bleached walls, caught in the hard clarity of midday.
There’s a deep stillness here, a sense of permanence. See how the house rests just off-center? It gives that space on the left room to breathe, opening out toward the island air. The sun-bleached white of the walls warms into soft ochre and terracotta earth near the ground. The lines of the house itself are so clear—the windows, the roof—but the paint softens into the land around it. Light falls from high overhead, casting shadows that are sharp but somehow gentle. You can almost feel the warmth coming off those walls. The air feels still, holding the quiet pride of a remembered place.
