Seascape

About This Work
Teal and slate claim most of the canvas, a high horizon giving the sea near total dominion, with ochre surfacing only where a crest catches light.
There’s a quiet energy here, a stillness that seems to carry its own slow breath. See how the darker swells in the foreground soften into paler blues toward the horizon? Cool teals and slate colors carry most of the surface, broken by just a few touches of ochre where light catches a crest. The sky drifts in soft grays and faint yellow, so blended that cloud and air share the same space. The brushwork breathes with the water. Far out, the strokes are calm. Closer, they become more energetic and broken. The light is so even, holding the whole expanse together in this quiet air. It feels so slow and open, like time itself has loosened at the edge.
