Kythera, Agia Pelagia, Sunset

About This Work
Agia Pelagia near sunset — amber and coral spread across the bay, and small pale forms settle along the shore.
This light belongs to a single hour, when the world seems to pause. The sun lays a low path across the water, casting long shadows from the rocky shore. Look at the little whitewashed shapes along the coast—small notes against the long horizontals of sea and sky. All that warmth above, the amber and rose, cools as it meets the water and deepens into teal and quiet violet. The paint itself breathes. It's smooth in the sky but breaks apart on the waves, with thicker touches where light catches stone. The hour holds, slow and unhurried, just before the colour fades.
