Nerantza House

About This Work
Nerantza means orange blossom — a name that stays in the plaster long after any tree has gone.
A deep quiet holds this place, a warmth that has settled into the stone. The house rests a little off-center, solid and calm. See how that low wall seems to draw you forward? The colors are so simple—warm ochre earth meets sun-faded white walls and the soft terracotta glow of the roof tiles. Even the paint changes with the light. It’s thick and worked over on the sunlit stone, but thins to a wash in the cool of the shadows, letting the texture breathe. That high, clean light carves out the darkness under the eaves, giving the walls their weight. A deep heat feels settled into the plaster, holding the memory of the sun.
