Sea in the Corinthian Gulf
MK1788
About This Work
Cobalt water fills the Corinthian Gulf from edge to edge, empty of sail or figure.
The whole world seems to rest in this soft, even light. Your eye just drifts across the deep blues of the open water as they soften into turquoise. The sky above answers in pale lavenders and grays. It's so smooth. But see how the water's surface breathes with a little more texture? Just enough to feel a gentle swell. Even that sliver of distant shore is a quiet ochre that doesn't break the calm. The air feels still, holding the gulf in a long, patient breath.
