Tsepelovo, Houses from the Zagori Villages
M1232
About This Work
Tsepelovo descends the Pindus slope in layers — stone house below stone house, each slate roof set at its own level.
There’s such a patience to this place. See how that narrow path starts on the left, winding up between the stone fronts and into the heart of the village? The entire scene is held in earthy colors—warm greys and muted siennas, with deep green pressing in from the edges. The light feels so soft, as if filtered through high cloud. It keeps the shadows gentle. Just a faint highlight catches the edges of the slate. This is a place that has weathered a long time. A deep quiet settles over everything, patient as the stone itself.
