Goura Evening, Light in Window, Girl
MK1848
About This Work
In Goura, a single lit window holds against the dusk, and a girl stands at its edge.
A quiet has fallen over the village street. Her small figure is framed by the rough geometry of walls and shutters, as the world outside settles into dusky lavender and slate blue, cool against the muted warmth of the stone. That yellow light from inside just catches the edge of her clothing, warming the sill beneath her. It spreads from the window in a slow wash, while the fading twilight fills the rest with gentle, even shadow. It carries the hush of evening at its threshold—that moment when a house grows louder than the street, and time slows around her.
