Nerantza Simple Houses
MK749
About This Work
The houses of Nerantza rise in compact cubes, pale walls catching the midday sun above their low terracotta roofs.
A deep quiet seems to settle over these houses. They cluster so naturally, their simple shapes leading you from one little group to the next, back toward the open ground. Those sun-bleached whites rest against the muted terracotta of the tiles, with quiet touches of sage and blue here and there. The brushwork is clean but never stiff. You can see where the paint is thicker, giving the walls a real texture against the smoother plaster. The light feels high and soft, casting just enough shadow to give everything shape without any hard edges. The simplicity carries its own weight, and a slow afternoon quiet settles over the village and stays.
