Zagora at Dusk in the Square
M1449
About This Work
Zagora's square holds the last of the day's warmth—cobblestones beginning to cool, a fountain rim still lit.
There’s a quiet that settles over the stones, as if the village is breathing out the day. The buildings on either side seem to lean in, drawing you down the cobblestone path with them. A few people still linger near doorways and on low walls—small anchors of life in the growing calm. Look how the warmth in the stone answers the cool blues waking in the sky, while shadows pool softly across the ground. Just a few touches of light remain, catching on windowpanes and the rim of a fountain. The last of the sun arrives so low and gentle it softens every edge. The air carries that held quiet of dusk, when the day has loosened its grip but the lamps have not yet been lit.
